2022

Thanks to the VERY generous support of Pinnacle Club residents, members and our sponsors, Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation (“CCVF”) announced today that 2021 donations to local veteran’s organizations totaled $100,000! This is the largest total donation in the history of CCVF. Since inception as a 501c3 in 2008, CCVF has donated over $465,000.00 to various veteran’s organizations. Also contributing to the increase in the yearly donations is the implementation of CCVF’s second annual air show, Rose City AirFest, which was held at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, Tyler Texas

CCVF donated $35,000.00 to CampV, Tyler, $30,000.00 to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and $28,500.00 to Fisher House. Additionally, CCVF donated $6,500.00 to the Payne Springs Volunteer Fire Department for all of their air show support for both the July 2, United States Air Force Rehearsal, and for the 16th Annual Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show on July 3, 2021.

“This past year proved exciting with the addition of a second air show, “Rose CityAirFest”. Except for soggy grounds from heavy rain showers, and a few other challenges, the show was magnificent. It is key for CCVF to have a sister air show that can sell individual tickets to help offset fundraising costs and share in the cost of the performers. We will build on the success of the 2021 Rose City AirFest and expect the 2022 show to be even more successful” said Lyn Thomas, President of CCVF.

The Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake and Rose City AirFest were honored to host the F-16 Demo Team and the C-17 Demo Team in 2021. The 2nd Annual Rose City AirFest is scheduled for July 1, 2022 at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport and the 17th Annual Thunder over Cedar Creek Lake is scheduled for Saturday night July 2nd. We should great shows at both locations with scheduled military planes and many other aircraft.

A special thanks to Blue Heron Properties, located at Pinnacle Golf Club, Cedar Creek Lake Area Brookshire’s grocery stores, KCKL Radio—Malakoff, and Sewell Infiniti—Dallas, TX, for their continued support of CCVF. Developing new partnerships, both corporate and individual, is one very important component to the increased success CCVF has experienced since 2019.

As always, none of the success of CCVF would happen without the immeasurable support of the residents and members of Pinnacle Golf Club and the Cedar Creek Lake community in general.

About CCVF: Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation mission is to “honor the courageous men and women who have served to protect our freedoms by providing financial support for those agencies responsible for their care and nurture.
